Vehicle Engines

This course about the principle of operation of the main units of the vehicle power units. The subjectof study are classification of power plants, the basic laws of actual working cycles, estimated indicators, operating modes and characteristics of internal combustion engines, the design of their parts and assemblies, power and thermal loads, engine balancing, calculation of transport systems.

 

Research and Publication The professional interests include study of regularity the conversion of chemical energy of fuel into mechanical work in internal combustion engines; the influence of the main constructive, regime-operational and atmospheric-climatic factors on the course of working processes in the internal combustion engine; reliability and the formation of performance indicators and engine performance; environmental impact; modern methods of improving technical and economic indicators and reducing emissions and noise emissions; the main criteria for the improvement of motor vehicles and their development directions.
