In the near future GRIAT is planning to launch double PhD-programs jointly with its partner-universities.
GRIAT Master students will be accepted to joint doctoral programs and receive not just their Russian candidate of science degree, but also a degree as doctor of philosophy (PhD) upon completion of their dissertation research. Upon completing their education, postgraduates defend dissertations in both Germany and Russia, receiving two international-format degrees simultaneously: a candidate’s degree in Russia, and a PhD in Germany.
Applicants for doctoral programs must:
- be Master's students of GRIAT;
- have excellent academic performance;
- have a high level of English confirmed by international certificates.
The topic of dissertation research should adhere to the interests of both universities and must be a match for the potential research advisors at KNRTU-KAI and German partner-universities. Upon admittance, each postgraduate student will be assigned a research advisor rom each university.
