Experience International Teaching in Kazan!
German-Russian Institute for Advanced Technologies is a unique educational project of an international level aimed at the professional training of high-skilled engineers for the power, aircraft-, automotive and mechanical engineering industries of the Russian Federation and worldwide. It is involved in the implementation of a wide range of educational programs and joint research projects.
Our current and future partners have an opportunity to join the process of training elite global engineers, who are much more competitive in the employment market due to the experience they receive in the double degree program, thus enhancing a company’s reputation and status! There are also incredible opportunities to experience international teaching here. If you are interested in further professional and personal development and the exchange of expert knowledge in terms of teaching methods within a Flying Faculty program you can apply for international teaching at GRIAT at you home university.
With the supervision of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD GRIAT runs MSc programs jointly with the renowned educational institutions in Germany. These are Ilmenau University of Technology (TU Ilmenau), Otto-von Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU Magdeburg), University of Kaiserslautern (TU Kaiserslautern). In the near future new educational programs will be launched with TU Braunschweig, Saarland University, Darmstadt University of Technology (TU Darmstadt)
There are joint academic curricula, elaborated and signed with our partner universities which include integrated disciplines to be taught by German professors and lecturers during the first, second and fourth semesters of a two-year MSc-degree program. So you can teach the disciplines of the relevant specialization to our first- or second-year Masters. Only the best and brightest students study on GRIAT Master’s programs, so it will be the most productive and rewarding teaching you can experience. Besides teaching you can select students for scientific supervision over their Master’s theses and advise them on profound topics for their research.
In Russia academic semesters start in early September and February, so applications for international teaching shall be submitted to GRIAT program coordinators of the relevant partner-university by mid-September or mid-February at the latest.
German-Russian Institute for Advanced Technologies is located in a new spacious 5-floor building with a total area of 19 000 sq. meters built on the university campus in 2012. The classes are held in comfortable lecture-rooms equipped with up-to-date soft- and hardware. There are also engineering laboratories and centers in the building: Thuringia Engineering Center, Robotics, Nano-technology, Laser-technology, Quantum and Data Processing Labs. University’s students can attend lectures and seminars in modern and comfortable lecture halls named after renowned figures in the Russian aviation industry: Andrey N. Tupolev, Boris I. Gubanov, Ivan S. Silayev. The university library, which is also situated in Building No.8, has a book collection which is unique in its completeness – over 600 thousand copies. It contains the writings of many renowned workers of science, culture, education, philosophy, etc.
Kazan is a city in the Russian Federation, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, a large harbor on the left bank of the Volga River. It is one of the largest religious, economic, political, scientific, educational, cultural and sports centers of Russia. The Kazan Kremlin is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city has a registered brand-name of the “Third Capital of Russia” and is ranked the 4th in the tourist rating of the most popular Russian cities.
